Please take your piggy to see a vet. We are not able to diagnose nor can we legally attempt to diagnose what the problem is. It could be any sort of mites, a bite or fungal infection. Please take the piggy to a Cavy savvy vet so that you can get the proper diagnosis and treatment. Please do not try or treat at home without diagnosis and recommendation from a qualified vet.

:agr: .... and I am sure it'll clear up with the right vet treatment .

Also , please make sure you wash you hand thoroughly after handling your guinea pig - as some conditions can spread easily.

Hi! It is likely either ringworm or mange mites, which requires different treatment. Please do not treat on spec with broad spectrum shop products. They are not geared for an acute outbreak and will only temporarily suppress the issue at the best of times.

Please see a good vet for a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment. You can reclaim any any vet cost from the shop if the problem has happened within the first 2-3 weeks after purchase as exposure and infection have happened at the shop. Don't let yourself be fobbed off by staff (ask for the manager instead) and don't surrender your piggy for repurchase after treatment.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Hope you can get your piggy treated quickly and she recovers soon
