8 week old Kola (as she looks like a Koala) arrived. They spent some time yesterday smelling and talking to each other through the bars. They had an initial meeting which was a little feisty guinea pig style so we separated them for the night but kept them next to each other. Truffle's cage was a wreak this morning so she must have been very excited in the night. They are in the run together and fingers crossed will bond.

Stunning  Hope all goes well!

Please keep us updated on developments

They spent the whole day from 7am-9pm in the run. Doing really well in there and even slept together in a tube. They are in the cage now and lots of chasing and nose in the air again. Not sure to leave them together overnight or not. Going to watch them as staying up for football and will separate if they won't settle down.
This bonding stage is scary!

Love the climbing piggy! In the last photo you can hardly see the piggies for all the lovely stuff they have. ot too spoilt are they? Yes, the bonding process is a nightmare. I had to go through it with 2 boys. Hope yours goes well, seems to be OK so far.

Best of luck! I think that you should stop worrying; your girls have worked long past the acceptance phase and well into the dominance phase where irrepressable youngsters are generally firmly put into their place, not to their liking... Little Kola will be desperate for company to snuggle up against, especially at night.

They spent the night together and though Truffle would not allow Kola into the bedroom whilst I was up when I got up in the morning they were both sleeping in there although at opposite ends. Truffle is being very bossy but not a bully. Thank you wiebke for the advice I am starting to worry less.
Both enjoyed an hour of lap time this evening. So hopeful they will bond. Love having them in the lounge as they are part of the family and very spoilt.
