Harry Clinton Henderson, a shy aby in his golden years (4) and Kongos new neighboar!

He will knep his original name Clinton as a middle name and go by Harry. Kongo is very curious about Harry but Harry is very much a nonchalant aby in his manners.
Kongo promise that h's dairy now will be shared and is now more of a lifestyle-guide from him and Harry.

You are a stunning peru or peru cross. Perus are divas but I am sure that he will find his paws in his new home.

He's an Peru? Wow. In Sweden we call all longhaired guinea pig "virvel" (if you're not a breeder ofc). I really thought he was a aby!

Abys are short-haired.

My Tesni 'Sun-warmed' (the mother of Tegan, the little baby in avatar) was a peruvian (short: peru). Long-haired piggies with forward growing hairs) and generally 2 rosettes in the back and a crest/swirl on the to of the head.
Especially with a shorter haircut they can look like a long-haired aby but it is genetically not quite as straight forward as that.

My Beryn 'Candytuft' was one of my string of ginger and white abyssinians (abys). Abys are short-haired and have tpyically 10 rosettes on their body and crest on their head (another swirl).

Crosses between an aby and a peru are called abyruvians. They are the original 'bad hair day' piggies. You can find some examples in the mixed breeds gallery.

Caring for long-haired piggies: here is our hair cutting guide as the hair in all piggies will always grow back to its genetically determined length, which in long-haired piggies can get serious in the way of fun and also end up quite quickly in mats and messy bums.

Thanks! So many beautiful pigs to watch 😍 I was very right about Pikachu, Bob (american short haired) and Chip (rex/aby-mix). But I cant really fit Joe in anywhere. I've always been sure he was some kind of aby-mix though. He sure had that famoused abytude. Have to watch more!
Kongo is a mix of a short haired guinea pig and a moose. He's just too big.

This will be our bible. He has so much hair and especially around his bumm. I took him up yesterday to cut his nails and do a quick health-check and it was hard not to get hair in the clipper. He really enjoyed getting brushed!
