Okay so our boy Toffee loves his lap time, so I decided that after 2 weeks of having the Trio it was time to introduce laptime, although they wont let me pick them up or even touch them... is there an easier way to introduce Lap Time to them without the stress of having to chase them round the cage and yank them up, as doing this is stressfull for both me and the piggies? mallethead

And I would just like to add that I know 2 weeks is abit late to be introducing laptime but the piggies have taken a while to get used to me. Again any help will be appreciated :)

New piggies will always be afraid of laptime and being picked up. Some people coach piggies into a bed or tunnel to pick them up in rather then trying to catch them. This may help you with yours. I would just pick them up everyday and hold them for five minutes to slowly get them used to you. You may find giving them a piece of vegetable will show them you are their friend. Good luck.

I started using a cardboard box with a favourite towel in, and can be used to pick them up to put back in the cage as well, much less stressful :)

We've always used a Chube [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Giant-Chube-Guinea-Rabbit-Chinchilla/dp/B0037XQ31C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350908586&sr=8-1"]Giant Chube Play Toy Guinea Pig, Rabbit, Rat Chinchilla: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home[/ame] and herd one into that, then tipped them out gently on lap.

None of our girls have ever liked been picked up, although Putt used to let us as she got older.. and Megan who is ( slow in the head :)) in the nicest possible way) lets us pick her up.
