Hi
We've got a male Guinea pig (Asterix) and he's developed a rather large cyst under one of his nipples. It doesnt seem to bother him at all and his behavior hasn't changed. He eats and drinks well, moves about etc.
We've taken him to the vet who advised us that they can take him into surgery but there's a big chance he won't survive it. Plus it would cost over $1200 (we're in Sydney), regardless of the outcome.
Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?
Here's a photo of what it looks like now.

Hi and welcome

Your boy needs to see a vet promptly for a mammary tumour; they can be both benign or malign, but generally need removing. Boars can get them as much as sows.
