I noticed figdet had a large ( about the size of a 2p coin) lump on his back/ bum area. He's not too kean on being storked on his back anyway but he really doesnt like it when you touch it, which gives me the impression it's hurting him. I'm going to make an appointment at the vets tomorrow to get it checke out. I just wanted to see if anyone might know what it might be or if there pigs had had a similar thing.

Sorry no advice to offer, good luck at the vets tomorrow. hopefully it's nothing to worry about

It could be a cyst or an abscess. One of my pigs, Linney, had one on her lower back just above the grease gland. We had it lanced and drained and I kept flushing it, but it kept refilling and ended up being an open sore on her back that we were afraid would get infected, so we had it surgically removed. She did fine with it- very quick op, a few stitches, and it never recurred. Now we can't even see where it was done, since she has longish fur and it covers the scar completely. Hope it's nothing to worry about!
