My lot haven't been without grass over the winter as I've been growing it indoors since October but since it was warm enough I put the herd out in the run for the first time today. They don't come out as a group very often as moving all 13 of them is a massive undertaking- usually I just sit in their enclosure with them so it was a bit of a new experience for some of them who have never been on grass before.
Apparently grass tastes much better when eaten straight from the garden rather than cut from a tray!

Good job, lawn mowers. :luv::clap: They are much cuter than the lawn mowers the maintenance staff use at my apartment complex, that's for sure.

Omnomnomnom!

My boys are asking when they can come over :D

Aww they look very happy to be in their run. Pick your own always tastes better. Would love to put mine out but the ground is much to wet yet, I knelt on it whilst cutting grass yesterday and I got very wet knees.

Do you have to clean an outdoor hutch?
Been thinking about putting my guineas out for more space.:hmm::hmm:

So lovely to see so many piggies munching! (That lilac and orange one )

That's Lottie and that's about as close to her as I can usually get- she's not a big fan of people, especially people who have to keep picking her up for health checks and nail clips!

This is just a temporary run I put out for supervised grass time. This particular lot live in my garage in a big enclosed area that has two double and one single hutch inside. I do have a lot of poop to pick up after they've been out though!

Got a different model mower today

Thought it might have been defective at first- didn't look like there was going to be much grass cutting going on! 20180419_173929.webpGot the hang of it eventually!

Turns out the neighbours were more interesting though!

@BertisKing I can understand that, mine aren’t all that keen on any interaction that doesn’t involve food and/or does involve touching!

Oooh I just zoomed in and she’s got red eyes too!

Fabulous long lush grass you have there @BertisKing. Good job you’ve got so many willing lawn mowers. I can just imagine the poop afterwards.

While the grass is long enough to hide it I try to forget it's there... probably why the grass is so green

Managed to get the last lot out on the last day of good weather we're going to have for a while!
