Hello,
One of my guinea pigs has started to laydown often throughout the day for short amounts of time. She will do it in the middle of laps/popcorning, eating, and sometimes she will lay completely on her side.

One out of two guinea pigs of mine do that too. She's healthy though

@The2musketeers Is everything else about her normal?

Such as:
- is her weight stable?
- is she eating and drinking?
- is she peeing and pooping?
- is she sneezing, coughing, breathing harder, not looking her usual self?
- how is her cagemate(s) acting?
- have you fed anything different?

From the limited information we have no idea whether she is simply comfortable around you and so will lie out in the open or if it is medicial.

Seeing a video would be helpful for us.

Anyway, if you are worried about a pig not acting normally then it is always best to see a vets advice. It's always better to see a vet and be told there is nothing wrong rather than risking missing an issue.

Should I be worried?

If in doubt, have her heart checked when you take her to the vet next time. At this stage, it is difficult to judge whether she is just comfy or needs rest in between. Once piggies are really at home and feel totally safe, they can flop anywhere anyhow. They will also calm down more and rest when they reach adulthood and lose the overabundance of youthful energy.

Be aware that heart problems apart from an irregular heart rhythm can be very difficult to diagnose unless they are more obvious. There are however heart meds available for guinea pigs with confirmed heart disease, but you haven't mentioned any of the classic symptoms for that.

Her weight is perfectly fine
she eats and drinks all the time
she poops and pees good shape and size
she will cough but only when she just ate hay and the cough is not often or in a pattern
Her cagemate does not bother at all
I have but she did this before I changed up her diet
Maybe I'm just being paranoid. :)

She breaths fine when she does it, I cannot get a video because I am on vacation right now. It could be she is just comfortable because she is my more chill piggy. Sometimes she will close her eyes if she is really comfortable. I was just worried because it was random like when drinking water and eating maybe she is just super lazy?

I am back from vacation and have a couple photos of where and how she does it. The most common one she will do is sticking her leg out, but if she is restless the she will do it without the leg sticking out.

I am a bit late here, but Dot used to do this when her cervical tumour started last june 2018. So it could be some discomfort somewhere. I doubt its the same problem but check for blood in pee. Once she was operated on, she no longer does it

I had to get an xray done to show the tumour up. But as i said above, it isnt likely to be the same thing. But you never know
