Leaky water bottle

We've recently noticed our guineas water bottles leak a lot. I tried putting a ramekin underneath to catch the drips, but it seems the boys walk into it and move it around, so it doesn't catch the drips any more.

We're using fleece with newspaper underneath it in the area of the cage where the water bottle is, but when I change the paper in the morning it's already soaking under foot again by the end of the day.

Any ideas?

What type of bottle are you using?
I’ve seen some people put a brick underneath the bottle to catch drips

Personally I would get a new water bottle, occasionally you get one that leaks or sometimes a helpful piggy bends the spout so it leaks! We have the Classic water bottles with red lids and we've never had a problem with them except deliberate vandalism by piggie who should have ASBOs
