Does anyone know if it is safe to give GPs leandii twigs and branches? A colleague is trimming hers and I thought it might be OK to give them to gnaw on or play with or just sit on. I've never seen anything about them - may contact CCT and ask if they know if they're poisonous. ::)

Don't know that this question has come up before? I'm afraid I don't know for sure, however, both my hubby and I suffer terribly when we cut out conifer hedge, we both come up in huge welts where the sap touches our skin. For that very reason I wouldn't risk getting it anywhere near my piggies.

Be interesting to get others views.

That happens to me too.I wouldn't chance it unless you know 100% it's safe :)

I don't think Leylandii hedge is safe. You've got to be careful with conifers.

Nope, it is poisonous!

Thanks LJ O0 Wasn't going to try it until I had found out if safe so obviously wont use it now. I'm glad someone said a definite either way. Will have to try and find someone with apple trees instead! ;)

Brilliant question and good on you for asking.... most people don't think... you're obviously a good piggie parent :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

That's a luvly thing to say Glynis thank you :smitten: I'd just hate for a piggy to be ill because I'd been careless or unthoughtful! I'm still looking for someone with apple trees that need their branches trimming! ;D
