I know that this is an ad, but if you are stuck at home and want to do something constructive, then this offer may be something worth considering for less than £20? BSL Online made EASY!
Just to add that I signed with both of my girls from birth.
It was amazing that well before they were verbal they actually communicated basic things with sign language.
The most interesting part is that now they still sign with each other occasionally when they want to communicate without others knowing what they are saying!
Plus we also have certain 'family specific' signs that we all use.
So even if you don't know anyone who is hearing impaired sign language is actually really fun to learn/use and has lots of applications.
Plus it is easier (imho) than learning another spoken language (but maybe I am just rubbish at spoken languages).
1 day to go . I recommend this course - it has a facebook group too and, as there are a lot of new members , there are a lot of people who are just starting to learn. We're practicing fingerspelling at the moment.
I didn't avail this course but I availed another BSL online course level 1 and 2 from Lead Academy. It was on offer at £15 on Wowcher the other day. I know the alphabet in BSL now and finished the fingerspelling yesterday.
