My work pattern is a bit erratic so my boyfriend and I struggle to get any time together at the moment. Since I am off work today he is only taking a half day at work and we are going away for the night. I have fed my piggies their breakfast and will feed them double the amount of nuggets to cover dinner and breakfast tomorrow, I will be cleaning out their cage in a sec and will give them a tonne of hay and fresh water before we go, I just can't help worrying. We'll be gone from about 12pm today until half 4/5pm tomorrow evening as I'm due to start work again at six. We don't have anyone who can really check in on them, but it's only going to be for one day so there'll be okay, right?

Has anyone left their piggies for a day? I feel naughty leaving them but we really need this break..
I'll probably end up spending a ridiculous amount on treats and toys to apologize for abandoning them while I'm away :p

I don't think they will suffer but you may be in trouble when you get back because you didn't turn up with morning veggies! And woe betide you if you don't bring them sufficient treats, presents, gifts back. goes without saying you'll have to give them mega veg and even more cuddles to make it up to them. Seriously I don't think would hurt just overnight as long as they have food and water and are safe and secure. Just be aware of the temperature though because we're supposed to be having a few warm days coming up.

This is how we all become slaves to them...they rule our lives, homes and take chunks out of our bank accounts when they see fit !
Sure they'll be ok - are they indoors ? As Ben and Jerry says, we're supposedly having some warm weather again...
Enjoy your break but remember to laden yourself with goodies to lavish your wheekers...;)

I had to leave my boys for 24 hours when I went to a family funeral in February. They were fine. I was naturally worried about leaving them, but they didn't seem to have missed meat all!

Thank you everyone, I must say they didn't seem the least bit bothered when we left this afternoon. Had a quick cuddle and some beans and hopefully their mountain of hay will keep them til I get back. We past a garden centre earlier today. Aherm. Looks like I've found my source of piggie pressies :)

They'll be fine. I leave mine a few times in the year for one night if we are away to a friends etc. If we are away for a full two days then I get a friend to come in and any longer than that they go boarding. To be honest I think they believe the house is theirs anyway and we just squat in it!

Know the feeling well Rachel - the demands we have to meet to stop getting evicted are endless :x

:<>Beware of LOTS of poops. x)And close your ears because when you enter the room after being gone they will SQWEEEEK with excitement to know your back to love them.
