Am I able to reuse any left over pallets the next day? my piggies are full time outdoor pigs so sometimes the pallets get a bit damp

maybe give them a smaller amount of pellets, or feed them twice a day? this will reduce the amount they leave behind. i’m not sure if you can reuse them but mine wouldn’t eat them if they were damp

I top mine up every other day. So what's in their bowls the second day is all they have for that day and they will have to feed up on hay instead. Mine are all adults and I've not had a problem with this. Are you scatter feeding pellets for them to get damp?

I put a small handful of pellets for each piggie, and usually they are all eaten by the end of the day,if they are not eaten i leave them in until they are finished ! get lots of hay so they will not starve !

I leave the pellets till they are all finished too. Usually they are all gone in 24 hours anyway. You can feed ill piggies mushed up pellets (with water) so don't see a problem with feeding them damp as long as you don't leave them so long they go mouldy:vom:

I give Finn pallets three times a day along with his veggies also three times a day. This is his daily routine so there is nothing left in his food dish. He does have endless supply of hay.

Lara on the other hand, when she came home with me from friend who didn’t want her, used to only eat pallets and hay. She never had veggies or fruit. So, her pallets have to be in her food dish all the time. I don’t want to change things too quickly for Lara so, despite the fact she gets veggies three times a day I still leave a full bowl of pallet for her. She also gets endless supply of hay.
