Just out of curiosity... Autumn was the last piggie to turn into an adult in March, she was born in September. I have half a bag of Oxbow young adult food and I also have a bag of Oxbow adult pellets. I've been mixing them both when she first turned 6 months, so that it wouldn't upset her stomach when I switched to only adult food. However, she should be okay to switch over to adult by now. I don't want to waste the half-bag of young GP food I have left, it's still good. Is it okay if I still mix both the young and adult food together until I'm out, so it doesn't go to waste?

I also have less than half a bag of Alfalfa hay from when she was a baby, it's still good. I don't want that to go to waste, but I shouldn't risk giving it to her either.

You could mix it in but with a higher ratio of adult food? That way you'll still use it up but she won't get too many unnecessary nutrients

You could carry on mixing the pellets or the other option is to see if a local rescue would be happy to receive the donation of the hay and pellets.

I was thinking that, but would they take the bag even if it has been opened?

I don't see why not. I have recently changed mine to a different pellet due to Donald's stones and Neville's Nest have been willing to take the open bag of leftovers
