I was wondering how long everyone had a clean cage till it was time to clean again. I feel like mine is almost 2 days usually Sunshine will run around and kick up bedding rearrange the cage furniture flip over food bowls. :xd: I usually clean every weekend of Friday or Saturday

Poop patrol, wash dishes, rinse water bottles and spot clean every day. Full cage clean weekly. The fleece in the skinny's pigloo gets changed at least twice a week.

Rearranging the cage appears to be a guinea pig hobby. If i put everything back exactly where they left it they just move it all around again.

I change the soaking fitch in the hutch every 2/3 days. Then I do a thorough clean every week, which includes fleece bedding in the attached run being replaced. My piggies mostly pee and poo in the hutch with fitch and on the hay tray on puppy pads on the run so the fleece bedding don't really get wet (newspaper under it are completely dry everytime I replace the fleece).

Once a week cage clean for the girls now they are toilet trained (Piggle loves the toilet tray, she has a whole repetoire of special dances and noises just for using the toilet) but Theo wont use his toilet- every time I put it in the corner where he poops most (filled with his poops) then he's like, "oh no there's something in my poop corner!" and poops in a different corner. So twice a week cage clean for Theo plus daily poop scoops, into his toilet so hopefully his little teenage boy brain might make the connection sometime :)

I've got a 2 x 6 C&C pen, with a 2 x 5 fleece section and a 2 x 1 paper bedding section. I pick up poop in the fleece section daily, as well as spot clean the bedding. Once a week I completely change all the bedding and wipe down the pen, after which the boys both do popcorn-y happy dances.

I guess it also depends on cage size and whether the piggies are in their cage all day? Ours currently have fairly small (100cm x 60cm) indoor cages but they have outdoor hutches too for 3 or 4 hours during the afternoon (cleaned out weekly, or every 10 days if they havent been out much because the weather is bad) and a big indoor playpen (4ft x 6ft) with newspaper on the floor where they go for 3 or 4 hours every evening that gets cleaned out daily.
Once we find out whether Theo will live full time with his ladies after his neutering op we will decide on new bigger indoor housing for the autumn and winter months!

I have a 2 X 5 C&C cage for 3 sows.
I usually do a basic clean every 3 days with a full deep clean every week.
Occasionally extra cleaning is required.

My 2 are indoor at the moment so I do a wee spot clean every day. Full clean every 2 days and disinfect once a week.

I have my pigs in C&C cages on layered fleece bedding. They have a minimum floor space of 2x2 each, but most are in pairs or groups so the cages are pretty large.

I do a spot clean every evening, a change of the top layer of bedding every second evening (more often if it's raining), and a big clean of everything once per week. Nobody asks me anywhere on Sundays anymore because they know it's my big pig clean day :))

I have 13 piggies on astro turf- I have to do a full sweep every day! Luckily my vegetable garden loves the extra fertiliser.
I have liners in the hutches that I shake out everyday and change every three.
I wish the piggies appreciated it more! Doesn't take long for them to start trashing the place :))

I use vet bed and poop pick once or twice a day depending if they have been able to go in the garden runs or not. When they are going outside most days the fleece gets changed once a week otherwise it's every 3 days.

I know that one only too well. I have 4 men in my house!

This should be a sign in our home it's said so often lol.

I'm not a strict schedule person but there's a minimal rule for me that runs with others. Full changing once a week. Cavy cages for the piggies with handmade double padded fleece pad/blankets. I'm learning as I go. Boys need more and how as they get older so I made some fleece pad squares and even double squares by section just especially for the boar attention. Girls I can easily clean feces once a day and after about 4 days or so I will shake out and brush the fleece double pad, vacuum, then flip it over. Boars I do the same but usually requires the pad squares every other day besides in their favorite areas under the fleece forests and corners. Bedding for kitchens aren't always once a week but can go week and a half or so for the girls but I don't put their hay there-it goes on the lofts. Boys once a week with pad changes. The lofts also have fleece forests and water bottles with the hay so they are in them a lot. These pads get flipped and changed daily. I made a lot of these though as they are also great sections in a pinch too.

I spot clean twice daily, change the puppy pads every day in main toilet and sleeping areas daily and do a full clean out twice a week.

I Spot clean 1-2 times a day and change their fleece pee pads every other day. I find I need to change their cage twice a week as the fleece tends to get a bit grubby and damp otherwise- my boys a messy!
