He's not been right for a few days, took him vets yesterday and couldn't see anything wrong with him.

He just wants to hide away and sleep, he's barely eating now, yes his teeth were checked, I'm syringe feeding him and yesterday he was loving it and now he doesn't want it.

He's so vacant
 
I am very sorry that my favourite boy is so unwell. Sadly, I haven't got the experience to help.

Keep on hand feeding him.

Thanks, yes I'm going to carry on hand feeding him, really frustrated that the vets couldn't find anything, don't know what's going to happen

He could have scurvy? Never had a pig with a vit C deficiency as they get fresh veg and pellets but he does have a lot of signs

Not moving much
Lethargic
Eye and nose discharge
Not wanting to eat

Anything i could give him, back to vets again tomorrow too
 
Oxbow vitamin C tablets. Most piggies like the taste of them as a treat. Or give bell peppers, broccoli..

I know you can use human vitamin C supplements too which may be more accessible for you in the short term.

'Vitamin supplements: chewable flavored C can be found in 100 mg tablets which when quartered will add 25 mg to a guinea pig's intake. Some people have good luck with liquid vitamin C, which can be found at some health food stores. In cases of deficiency, providing small amounts of vitamin C several times during the day when hand feeding or administering medications may help treat scurvy more quickly. Some pet owners report Rugby's Vitamin C Liquid very popular with their cavies. ' - Quoted from guinealynx.com.

However it also says that discharge can be an indication of other health problems such as respiratory infections. I really hope you find out what could be wrong, vitamin C is water soluble so its not so much of a problem if you give extra but obviously you want to know exactly whats wrong.
 
Oh my God. I am so so so sorry :( I literally posted at the same time as you. I'm so sorry for your loss, he was one of my favourite forum pigs :( he was such a character. If you need to chat, I can. I've lost a piggy recently so I can relate to the loss. He is now in peace, you did all you could xx

I am ever so sorry that Nerys has lost her virtual boarfriend! Lentil was my favourite forum boar and I will miss him dearly! 8...8...8...
 
He certainly was a special pig :') I shall miss him tons, like all my pigs, after he died it was strange, he still looked alive, I had to keep checking for breathing, he looked so peaceful.

I'll do a special memorial page for him over the next few days when I feel up to it.

I can completely relate to this :( It brings back horrible memories. When Doris passed away I couldn't believe it, and I actually had a bit of a break down where my OH had to convince me she had died because I was panicking as we'd buried her.
