HI I'm very new to owning guinea pigs. I've had my guinea pigs Enzo and Leo for about 3 months now. Enzo is doing fine and is super active and happy. Leo is a different story, He always sits in a corner or his hides hole and does nothing. He only comes for food and water. They recently had Ringworm but we cured it, I want to know if there was any way we could make him more happy and more out there. He loves Enzo and talks to him a lot, but He never plays with Enzo. Any tips or help?

some pigs just aren't that fussed about "playing" with others. Are you weighing them regularly and health checking them? If they are both healthy and gaining weight or maintaining a good weight (depending on age) then it would suggest that they are ok. My Jemima is a bit of a mischief maker, she isn't particularly friendly, shes not too fond of humans (unless you are bringing food) and shes not that bothered by the other pigs. When Bea was alive she clearly doted on her but again they never cuddled up together or seemed to play with each other (yet Jemima was clearly in distress after Bea had to be pts).

I would agree. Some pigs are naturally shyer than others, and you usually get a more dominant pig in any pairing. As long as he is eating, drinking, pooing and weeing and his weight isn't going down it's fine. As he gets more used to you he may come out of his shell a bit more, but if he doesn't, it doesn't mean he's unhappy. I am currently fostering two boars, one of which will come to the bars for food and the other is only just coming out of hiding when I am around. Both enjoy a cuddle though and will nibble treats when they have lap time, which they wouldn't do if they were scared or unhappy. Give him love and time. xx

He is eating and drinking and doing all that, I will start to weigh him. Thanks for your input :D
