I started off with a very familiar tale - bought two girl piggys and whilst they were both girls turned out one was already pregnant, she had a boy and a girl so naturally I went out and found a male friend for my baby boy so that he wouldn't be alone. Then I found out about rescues and rescue piggys and became involved with that. I help moderate a guinea pig forum but also an animal rescue forum for Northern Ireland. Through it I've adopted several rescues and done some piggy fostering.

So my piggy clan is currently 14 and Anya is my beautiful plus one.

My girls (that's an equine bedding they are all on) in what Wiebke just christened Handbag Hall.

These are my latest 3 girls - (Left to Right) Tansy, Teasle and Tia

The rest of the girls (left bowl L-R) Olga, Humbug and Caramel (right bowl) Holly with the white crest, Sally black and white and Fizz the tricolour. Holly and Sally are the original two sisters and Caramel is Holly's daughter.

I think there is a thread here with my gorgeous Anya in it but can't leave her out

Sorry for double posting. I couldn't get all the pics into one post.

My boys. The trio (left to right) Chocolate, who is Caramel's brother, Whiskey and Scrumpy. I found my little sheltie boy, Whiskey in the adoption end at Pets at Home. They had an advert up saying he was 10 months old and must remain alone. On further enquiry transpired he had been sold with a brother, the brother died and so they got him a baby boy for company who I'm assuming was just dumped in with him so because Whiskey attacked the baby they dumped Whiskey. I couldn't bear to see him written of at so young as a loner and felt he was also younger than 10 months. So I brought him home and tried him alongside each of my pairs of boys. After some weeks of trying him alongside each of them I picked this trio as the most chance of success. They have been together for a few months now.

My oldest pair of boys, who had spent all their lives in different rescues until they came to live with us. Podge (part Peru) and Rodge (part sheltie). They do have hideys by the way - just took them out for the photos

very cute! A cautionary tale to help me stick to just having two!

Oh I want a big hutch like that!
As soon as I get a place with a garden, I am getting me one of those! If I got my mum's house...the garrage would be the perfect place for that - amazing!

Wonderfully gorgeous piggehs - and that little Anya...wow what a stunner!

Super envious! x)

Oooh, so many piggies. I just love seeing piggies in a wee group like that. A gaggle of guineas I call it. They are all so healthy and happy looking..

Every time I see Anya, she seems to be more beautiful! I bet you can't wait to collect her!

I love all your tribes; your piggies have all those striking markings!

(PS: I was just joking with Handbag Hall!)

your pigs are stunning! All piggies are gorgeous OBVIOUSLY, but i love the ones with the unusual markings and all of yours seem to have that! congrats! i have 4 girls myself, in a 3 tier indoor cage - but I'm tempted to expand my little family already - getting a couple more couldnt hurt could it? ;)

I just love your piggies, and to see all the girls together like that is wonderful.

Glad you enjoyed meeting them all. They bring a lot of happiness to our family and we are mad about them.

Wiebke I've always been fond of the phrase handbags at dawn and having lived in a house of 3 women for 1 year and a house of 7 for 1 year I swore never again - so thought your suggestion of Handbag Hall very appropriate for all my girls.

I'll dig out a few more photos if no-one minds if you like markings because you can't see Fizz that well in the photos, Whiskey has to be seen from the rear to appreciate his gorgeous coat and Scrumpy and Rodge both have brown sides that you can't see in those photos.

thanks for sharing the pics! they're gorgeous!
so glad that Anya's new mummy has joined be nice to keep up with her :)
x

Gorgeous piggys and a very patient hubby. Its my birthday at the weekend and he bought me the trios new hutch as my present and he doesn't raise an eyebrow when I say can we go to Scotland for the weekend to collect a new piggy! I am a very lucky girl.

Hoggle you were the first to ask and do have 2 very handsome boys.

Gorgeous piggies, thank you for sharing your lovely photos of them!

Anya is just stunning...I have a soft spot for coronets (as Wiebke does!) and your Anya is just so beautiful.

beautiful pics!

And great to see another northern irish person on the forum :)

AWWW - that pic is so sweet! x)x)x)

Anya is obviously going to be a QUITE adventurous (and greedy) madam! It's so great that that so many of the coronets are going to members of the forum, so we can stay in contact!

Lesa your piggies are so so gorgeous. You are very lucky to have so many and such a great set up for them.

I love what you've done for them and they are all so cute.

Thank you all very much and that's a real compliment Graham, thank you.

I do consider myself a very lucky person to have been blessed with all my piggys and to have a husband understanding about my love of them.

Becky, thanks for the new pic. I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to coming over to get my new girl. I am so excited about meeting her. She looks quite big in that photo. Just showed the pic to the kids and they simultaneously went Awww (although my son is a bit disappointed that bringing another girl home, he is still at that boys versus girls stage!) Thank you so much for reserving her for me, keeping her until we can get over and giving me the updates.
