After a visit to vet today with my guinea pig Graham who most of you will know, has been a poorly boy for a few weeks, she gave me some barrier cream for his feet. He hasn't been very mobile and whilst in hiding, has been urinating and pooing where he sleeps.

Whilst putting the cream on, I have found a lesion/mark on his belly (Vet hasn't picked this up, and to be fair, nor have I until now).

Its the size of a 5p, perhaps a tad smaller. Brown in colour with a sticking out black bit, looks like a skin tag.

I'll be sure to point it out to the specialist that he is seeing on Monday, but I'm curious what it could be.

Has anyone seen this on a piggy before? I've tried to zoom in on it (camera not the best).

Thanks

Its so easy to get paranoid after they've been poorly isnt it, try relax and fix you and Graham a nice snack and you a glass or cup of something relaxing :)

Male guinea pigs have two nipples just like sows, and they look the same, too. ;)

Thanks everyone.

It has been a very upsetting, worrying and stressful few weeks and I am becoming paranoid with every noise, mark and even poo checking! The lack of sleep to get up and feed him every 3 hours is potentially taking it's toll. Its like having a newborn!

Neve be afraid to ask on here. Nipples and belly buttons can cause a lot of concern if you aren’t expecting to see them.
