My boys have just arrived home today after an extended holiday whilst I moved house. Because I'm on nightshift tonight I have left them to settle in in peace while I get some extra sleep.

...cue the nightmare! I had this horrible dream about the piggies hurdling their grids and jumping out the window, I of course ran out to find them, surprisingly they were still ok other than being a bit shell-shocked. Then whilst I was trying to build the grids higher Sam made another run for it and jumped again! This time I couldn't find him anywhere and as it went on it transpired that some guy was luring out guinea pigs to sell to the circus!

The worst bit was I kept telling myself it must be a dream, it's all too unlikely, but the longer it went on it dawned on me I wasn't going to wake up cos it wasn't a dream - it was so utterly devastating! Even towards the end when it all started to get more absurd it still felt real and the fact that I was supposedly living in a flat in my old school didn't give it away to me either (as if I'd ever live there!).

Safe to say I'm obviously a little more anxious about them now being in an open-top cage on the ground than I thought I was!

Oh no, I hate dreams that feel so real! Hey talents it was a dream and they're all ok :-)

Yup! I went to check on them when I woke up and they literally hadn't moved from their spots! In fact I had to open the carrier up to check Sam was still alive in there!

The most ridiculous thing is that my boys are such homebirds that very little could entice them from their cage, it seems so stupid of me to have ever believed it could be real!

When I was on labour watch for my two surprise-pregnancies (the piggies, not me!) I used to have dreams that I'd come downstairs and found that the babies had been born in the night, had slipped out of the cage and were stomping around the lounge, getting stuck behind furniture :)) Thankfully a large sheet of cardboard tied to the grids helped ease those worries, but I remember the fear well!
