Betsy
Anniversary Herd
Put a new Carrot Cottage in the run this morning.
Yes and Betsy was working on the inside! They seem to have worked out who should demolish which bit!

Glad it’s not just my gang then!
To be fair I haven’t tried one since adding the skinnies. I get the feeling Mabel would singlehandedly demolish a carrot cottage! I’ll have to get one for her to try!Glad it’s not just my gang then!![]()
Haha bet it’d be gone in hours with that speedy lady around! To be fair I haven’t tried one since adding the skinnies. I get the feeling Mabel would singlehandedly demolish a carrot cottage! I’ll have to get one for her to try!

No you wouldn't know and it doesn't hold her back at all. All the good care from you and her two piggy friends.I know! It's hard to believe this time last year Meg was so ill. You wouldn't know that half her face is paralysed would you?

I've put the Carrot Cottage in the hutch with them overnight. The door had already been widened. I wonder what other modification's I'll find in the morning. Meg was attacking it most of today. What a team.
Today the carrot cottage - tomorrow the Demolition Derby![]()

Yes Meggypops is the black fluffy one. I've no idea how she became paralysed. I didn't even realise until I took her up to Northampton last year in the middle of Lockdown to Kim at C&R because she (Meg) had been losing weight and my vet, Rachel, (usually excellent on all things piggy) couldn't find what was wrong with her. Kim said that she had a Neurological problem meaning that half her face was paralysed along with a number of other problems. When I let Rachel know what was wrong with Meg, she (Rachel) had never heard of such a problem in a guinea pig before so would never have thought to look for it.Is Meg the black, fluffy one? How did she get paralysed? She's looking great now.
She certainly is! She wouldn't eat hay for months and as I had cut all the grass in my garden for I her had to find grass over on the Heath (5 mins walk away) for her every day as she would eat grass. My goodness, poor Meg. She's a medical marvel!
Meg was determined not to leave for the Rainbow Bridge so I was just as determined not to let her down. If she didn't want to go then I wouldn't let her.Aw what a lucky piglet for you to go to so much trouble for her! Amazing to go from not managing hay to attacking that cottage.
