I've just read something about lethal piggies...It's the first time I've heard of this term (I'm not really experienced) and I haven't fully understood what it means..I read that white haired piggies could be lethal and I'm worried because my Sergio's fur is mostly white..Please help me,I'm so worried right now..I'm giving you some pics of Sergio (in case you haven't seen him) to tell me your opinion..Thanks a lot!

You need not worry, looking at him I would say 85% not lethal. It also depends on his parentage but he looks absolutely fine. :)p

Personally, I don't think he is lethal.

Most lethals are blind and deaf and they are ALWAYS white. Most lethals have missing incisors, deformed molars and random teeth that grow in and fall out, so i'd check that out. Most of the lethals i've heard of have had a very short life span, and die in the first months. Correct me if i'm wrong anyone but i'm sure lethals are all white.

If your still worried, go to the vets and see.

He looks fine to me too. Roan to Roan breeding causes it. Roan is where the white hairs contain different colours (think others can explain better as I don't know too much about it) I have a part roan in Twinkle I think but its ok as I don't breed so hes ok as a pig but if he got another roan pregnant then problems would happen.

Lethals sadly don't live too long in most cases, they are usually blind, death and have teeth problems. We have a white pig too called Pearl who has pink eyes but is just a PEW (Pink Eyed White and not a lethal) :)

yes,they have to be born from any of these pairings;

dalmation*dalmation
roan*roan
dalmation*roan
roan*dalmation

i cant enlarge your piggie pic on the laptop,but if i remember rightly, he's got black eyes? lethals ALWAYS have red eyes, their eyes tend to be mis sized or totally missing too. They could have one normal eye and one deformed,tiny eye for example. They are usually deaf and/or blind, can have intestinal problems and problems with their teeth. They are pure white too, including all fur, feet and nails are white and pink

i just retried opening it! yes, i can definately tell you he's NOT LETHAL! what a stunning boy?! He's an abby, dew with incorrect markings, or what i like to call a dolly mixture! gorgeous boy! x

that's what it is in simple terms, but they also have a very limited lifespan and most vets think that pts is the only option :x8...:0grrrrinbreeding:(

Yep Claire she probably is, its just her nose colour hasn't changed that much although she has feet markings. So I'm kinda thinking shes a bit of a dolly! More of a ferret than a guinea pig! She's a wild one! :(|)
