Lethargic guinea pig

Thank you you are a good person
No problem atall. I once went to great heroic lengths to save an old pig of mine over a whole month, and he passed away whilst i was at work. I should have taken him to a vet weeks before, ( to be put to sleep) but i just wouldnt give in. Sometimes you can go too far trying to save a pet from end of life. Even i was saying i should have done more at the time. But after months past i realised i shouldnt have done as much as i did.

Do you have insta I want to follow you you are a good person

I'm sorry for your loss @Tom Roche , you did all you could, but guinea pigs hide illnesses very well being prey animals, sometimes so well that by the time we notice it is too late for us to help. So you shouldn't blame yourself in any way.
Sorry also that losing your piggie has hit you so hard. If it might help to talk, there are some pet bereavement helplines - some in the UK are listed on this site Pet Bereavement

@Qualcast&Flymo thankyou it has hit me hard I keep blaming myself that I didn’t do enough mini was my life and now I’m broke but I’ll try to move past this but I’ll never forget her
You never have to forget her. You can get a nice canvas done to put on the wall of them or something you can look at everyday to remind you of the good times.

I only had her for 6 months but we had some great times, this app has made me more cheerful I’m staying on it plus I have still got a guniee pig left

hi,I'm so sorry you have lost your piggie, you did all you could.maybe if concerned about your remaining pig, take him/her to a piggie savvy vet for a routine check up.

@eileen I don’t want think my pig passed anything on because she was born with a heart problem just like my last pig was because they were sisters but my pig came from a different family so I don’t think anything could hav been passed

If your piggy was born with a heart problem, then for sure you shouldn't blame yourself for her passing, as you couldn't have done anything to stop that .
Regarding getting a new friend for your remaining sow, providing she isn't pining for her old friend (ie not eating, hiding away), to be sure that she hasn't picked up any illnesses, all you need to do is wait 2 weeks. If she is showing no signs of illness after that, then she should be all right to meet a new friend. That being said, a vet check is a good idea too, I take mine for the occasional check up anyway if they haven't been to the vets due to illness for a long time.

Can everyone give their advice to me please I have 1 piggies left should I get another partner for her or give her away become is Their a risk that she would get I’ll again?

Take her to the vets for a quick check up. If all seems well, getting a piggy who has been quarantined to avoid illness by a good rescue is a brilliant plan for your remaining piglet. So sorry for your loss x

One way of dealing with the perfectly normal feeling of guilt following a bereavement is to tell yourself every day that you forgive yourself.
One day you will realise that you mean it.
Talking your grief out here is also good - we do understand how it feels.
