dogberry

We have 2 guineas both behaving the same and one is fine ( 3rd guinea ) . The symptoms are almost stroke like for the two ill ones. They were fine yesterday and overnight it looks as though they have had a stroke. Very lethargic, trouble on their legs very unsteady. Not feeding or drinking. They're out in the run in the garden all day and in the hutch on a night outside. Breathing does seem laboured.

anyone any ideas or experience of this?

thank you

Can't really help, maybe bring them inside. Don't delay - Take them to the vet as soon as you possibly can!

It would be very strange for 2 guinea pigs to have a stroke at the same time. Has your grass been treated? As they are both unwell I am inclined to think that they have eaten something they shouldn't.

I would seek vet help ASAP.

My suspicion is poison as well. Have you got creeping buttercups on your lawn?

Definatley find a vet asap, symptoms sound like stroke, or heart trouble. Very strange that both have symptoms though.
