How many piggies have you added to your house AFTER joining this Forum. :)) I started with one and now after everyone's 'help' of making me jealous and seeing all the lovely pairs of piggies and how they adore one another I have two boys. I love them I really do and without the help of this forum I would have never got a second piggie (since I had no idea they were supposed to live in pairs.) So come on everyone, I wanna know how many piggie lives were saved/rescued because of this forum.

xx Mercedes

16: two pet-shop piggies which I got before finding a rescue, one from a member on the forums here as a free to a good home piggy, and thirteen from Milhaven Guinea Pig Rescue - which I found through the forums.

In the space of four and a half months, even I find that number a bit ridiculous; but they are all fantastic piggies! I don't think there will be any more for quite some time (only have space for a neutered male now for my herd of ladies as/when one becomes available). I say that, but once I've graduated this time next year and/or find myself a job in the mean-time; you never know!

Well in december last year I decided after quitting college I had some spare time for some piggies and I came on here to get back up to date with owning pigs.

17 pigs since joining :)

Sooo I got Madison & Matilda from a local rescue.
I Then got Haribo off a woman who didnt want him, seeing 12 guinea pigs in a 3ft indoor cage made me sick and I was happy to have had him for a short while he was here with us.
I then got Ruby, Henry, Sadie & Rosie off a woman who was sick of them and 8 weeks later 4 turned into 14!
My mum accidently put Haribo into the play pen with the girls and Matilda got pregnant :( But in a way its a blessing to have 2 of his children here with me today its like he is still living on and Pippa has his exact squeak its scary!
I then got Bentley & Morgan off a woman who gave them up, but due to this being a public forum I can't go into details.
I then got Yogibear off member on here who runs her own rescue.

I don't think I would ever buy a guinea pig, in all honesty I don't like baby pigs that much having to bring up 14 babies all on top of one another they are very hard work and grow up too quickly, I mean my baby guinea pigs are 13 weeks and look like adult piggies :(|)

I'm not quite as bad as I thought I'd have been. I've gained one and a half (I was fostering Jeff but then he never left, then of course he needed a wife!) but I've also had to rehome Little Dave recently 8...

So thats a net gain of just one...

Um 12 rolleyes

First there was Gertie, then Johnny, then Millie and Jess, then Maddie, then Izzie, then Honey, then Star, then Mabel. While the herd was growing we took in Buzz and Woody, then when Woody died we took in Nigel and then Beanbag and then finally Terk came to live with us from a friend.

This is so awesome! Only 6 people have replied so far and we're already to about 50 piggies :)

Well....
My lot have went rather chaotic at the moment...
I have 24...
I took in 7 as an emergency stop gap... Going out to a rescue tomorow... Bit gutted... But having that number is rather ridiculous... And they will all get fantastic homes where they will get lots of loves...
Then that leaves me with my 2 pair of bores... My herd of 12 (turns out one was preggers when I got her) and boris and his soon to be wifey c-section pig... She come in with the other 7... And was toxic... And literally rushed straight in to the vets for a emergency c-section and spay... Unfortunately.... No babies survived... But she is doing fantastically...
So yeh... It's a mad house at mine at the mo...
And I have my friends piggie sleeping over tonight... Lethal Lilly... She was a p@h buy... And turns out she's lethal and my friend can't physically afford the specialist treatment she will need... So has decided to give her up to someone who can give her brilliant care...
So... Actually 25 pigs at this moment in time...
MENTAL...!

:o That is soooo many piggies! What a good person you are to help them in their process of finding their furever homes :) bless you hun!

When i joined we only had Dukey........Sully had no long passed away :(
then when Dukey passed away :( i waited for a bit then got the two girls Velvet and Onyx x)

I had William & Keith - then poor Keithy died so William got two new friends Alan & Clive, and in about 2 weeks there will be a new addition :)

I started with Mr pickles (got him from the adoption centre in P@H, before I knew there were rescues) then my mum took in two boys who were unwanted (Branston & Tyson) Tyson used to pick on Branston, one day Branston just snapped and ripped poor Tysons ear in half, so my mum had to seperate. So I then had Branston, I bonded Branston with Pickles.
Then in September 2010 Mr Pickles passed away :( his age was unknown but we thought he was around 4/5. So I then took in Junior as a friend for Branston because Branston was very unhappy by himself. In october 2010 I then adopted Rodney & Delboy from Suzygpr. Branston didn't seem to have the best of health, he quite often had problems with his eyes, In May this year he quickly went downhill (suspected dental problems) he passed away on the 15th May this year, my 21st birthday :(
In july this year I took in George who is now bonded with Junior. Since Branston passed Junior has had a lot of health issues, we do seem to be finally turning a corner now though.
So I started with one, now have two pairs of boars and have lost two, Branston & Pickles.

I started off with two boys Rupert and Peanut who came from PAH and quickly got broody for more and decided to bring home 2 more boys called Mocha and Oreo also from PAH.

I successfully mixed them all, for the time being anyway. We'll have to see if it stays that way... :)

I'd love to get more :)) but we don't really have the room right now. Watch this space! ;)

So I started with two and gained two since being here.

3 rescue girls + 3 boys born drool

Started in January with 2 pet shop boys (not the pop band) except 1 was a girl who had 3 boys. Gave 2 baby boys away and rescued an adult girl. Adult male died last month so got another 2 rescue girls last night to start a herd with our remaining boy once he's had his wee op! :{

Before I joined I bought my original girls Rosie and Rum from pets at home. Roll on a year and a half on the forum and moving out of my parents and I felt it was time to give some love to more piggies. So after making space for a massive 3 by 6 c and c cage I adopted 3 beautiful girls Maggie, Milkshake and Pixie. So I add 3 to the total

its is an immense amount...!
they were getting through nearly 10kg of food a week....!
was starting to rapidly run out of money... and with all the poorlies vet bills added on top i have no rent money left...!
lmao...
i dont mind being a stop gap.... means i can drool over lovely piggies... :))
x

I had 2 (Dizzy and Llewelyn) and have now 12! :(|)

However since I joined, 5 piggies have sadly died (Dizzy in 2009, Fflur and Ffion in 2010, Llewelyn and Telyn this year) and I have rehomed a total 15 piggies over that period of time.

I had three, Sophie,Peronel and Amelia Jane. I got them all from gumtree. Somebody on here had to move and could not take her two with her so I agreed to take them and on Friday Marble and Amina moved in. I have all five living together now and it seems to be working so well. :)

I've always had pairs but when I joined here Peanut had just passed so was left with Fuzzy, then I got Tyler from Helen at the potteries rescue, who was part of an unexpected p@h litter so just 2 :)) would love more but my boyf wont have them in the bedroom or living room, they live in the kitchen and the one spare bedroom we do have has to be kept for when his kids come over AND i havent got a proper garden so until we move it will be these two but I'm hoping to move in a year or two then watch this space! :))

I had two to start when joining this forum last June (Harvey and Artie), since then I've gone up by one from a rescue on here (Percy-Roo) and thats soon to be four....and I blame my piggie obsession with this forum! :))

I had no idea so many piggies were saved :) great job every one you are all angels and if I had more room to have more piggies believe me I would

I had Pippa and Willow before I joined the forum, but now have four more (Pixel and Marmite were bought, Boris and Polly both came from Becklen Rescue)

I had three when joining the forum and I now have nine.

Albert and Archie
William and George
Mildred, Amelia, Hannah, Tabitha and Peaches Geldof.

All have been unwanted pets from people local to me. Would like to adopt some more soon.

I had 2 sows when I joined..... but 1 was already pregnant when I got her so not sure if they count..... they were born (3 sows which I kept) just after I joined......

Then I got another 3 sows a while later in PAH adoption centre...... so its either 3 or 6 if unborn babies count :))

x

I had 3 when I joined and now I have five.
When I first joined I had Fennel, Hector and Jake.

Then Fennel died in October and I got Lentil

Then I got Bounty in December

Then Hector died in February

Then I got Butterscotch in May

Then I got Loki June

Then Butterscotch died on the 1st July

And I got Sky on the 3rd July

So I got Jake, Lentil, Bounty, Loki and Sky and have lost 3 along the way :(

Hmm, we had four boys then adopted a little girl from the RSPCA Walsall who's story was on here, Amelia who had a head tilt x) Sooo special to us and a gorgeous piggy drool
Adopted a baby as a friend for Amelia, snatched four babies from a pet shop (someone wanted the shop to take them :...) then had a married couple on 24th July x)
Have gone from four to twelve...so eight :(|)rolleyes :(|)
