So you've won the lottery/got a massive pay rise/OH treated you ... what would be your absolute dream set-up for your guineas (no cost restrictions here!). I'm interested to hear what people come up with!
 
Think I'd have a room for the piggies to free range all day :D Lots of piggies, lots of toys..lots of food :P Not sure what I'd actually do in there though :D
 
I would let the piggys have their own bedroom - loads of space for toys and running around!

I always said that if I won the lottery I would open my own rescue. That would be my dream.
 
I would move into a house with three extra rooms. One room would be for free range girls, with a wall of cages for those who don't get along. One room would be just like the first but for boys. And the third room would be the same only it would be quarantine, hospital, pregnant, Mummy, etc. I've daydreamt about being able to do things like this so often. I even drew out a floor plan for one of the rooms one time ;D

I would build an extension and grass half of the floor so they could have fresh greens without living outside :p
 
already thought of this one ! extra room for piggers , buns n chins loads freeroaming space & alovely garden with huge runs /toys for the summer etc, seperated from the dogs etc can but dream :smitten:

A big rescue for all those lovely piggies. All indoor - room as big as two bunglows, lots of individual floor space. An on-site vet/rodentologist and even more animals. I want a farm!

Not to live from or breed. But to enjoy.

Also plenty of rooms to stay for all of you to come and enjoy with me! ;)
 
I have already seen the house i want to buy, if i win and have a guinea rescue site on it and employ people to help it would be lovely,
It is like a wonderful farmhouse with like brick stables outside and loads of land(big sigh mmmmm i wish)
 
Yep, all sound good to me! I used to dream of having a long outbuilding with pens down each side, with all the guineas living in little herds with access through a hole in the walls to the outside. Now I've got them inside for the winter though and love it, I have to change the dream to having a long room of sorts!

Plus, a chute from the room into a massive massive compost bin so I can just chuck all the waste down and forget about it!

sounds good to me, I also like herds of piggys so they would have a hugh drought free brick built red tiled roof stable type runs all heated and air conditioned running both sides like stables with lockable doors either ends cctv fitted on to each run running watre that automatically fills empty bottles same for dried food down little shutes into the runs, a medical room and ward for sick or quarantined ones , all top of the range equipment and my own vet on hand 24/7 a sofa in their somewhere in case i need to sleep out there over night, night lights and hugh fly zappers like your idea about a rubbish shute, and to top it all Bon Jovi to open it for me :smitten: :smitten:

A brick annex with huge pens to house different herds big enough for me to have a chair in each. Each pen having an automatic hatch for them to get outside to grass runs. The annex would be air con & there would be a proper store room & an area with sofa & computer where I could spend some one on one time with the pigs. The setup would have night vision cctv linked to the house. I like the idea of having a quarentine area & an area for single boars.
I would have a rainwater collection unit for the pigs drink. Solar & wind generated electrics. All materials recycled or reclaimed. And def with either slate or pantile roof.

OOOhhh & attatched to the side of the annex a greenhouse to grow loads of veg for them & us!

I would open a guineapig farm rescue - :police: i was only discussing this the other day - :smitten: i would employ a vet and great staff to assist in the rehoming and care of unwanted and unloved pigs - no piggie would ever be put to sleep unless it was the 'kind' thing to do....there would be a huge area devoted to long stay pigs who would not be rehomed but looked after and loved here. I would build extensive outdoor runs for males - females etc so everyone had a special place to play - fresh turf brought in once a week so they had perfect grass to graze on ;D A special grooming parlour for tatty piggies - hospital with every mod con - i would set up a charity to help inform people (for free) how to CARE for pigs - simple things like distributing leaflets to schools and stuff like that - sexing pigs - obvious stuff some people seem oblivious too....ah i can dream :)
