I'm just curious has anybody every sent off a letter of complaint to their vet practice/ vet for poor service or a bad consultation. I've been thinking about doing so after the trouble I've been having with Albert and Maggie. I'm not looking for compensation just answers but I'm not sure whether anything would be solved. Thanks

I did we have been to the same vets for years and years and it was a sunday and fuzzy had a fit i rang the vets and a locum was on and she said sorry we dont see any animal unless you have £90 upfront cash i was totally shocked as this is not the normal way the practice was run as we have an account and pay at the end of the month and she was very rude to me the next day i was so mad i rang and complained they were so apologetic and grateful as they were not aware of this and poor fuzzy could of been left untreated if someone could not of afforded the upfront fee they refunded me and gave him his follow ups free of charge but thats not what i wanted at all so what I'm trying to say sometimes its good to let the senior partners know whats going on as they maybe unaware and it might open there eyes prevent an animal not getting treated properly. Big hugs.

Thanks for the reply, the difficulty is the vet who I have the problem with is the senior partner. There is a practice manager though i'm just concerned that if I complain and I'm seen as a bit of a trouble maker there could be consequences such as me being banned from the surgery. I've been going there for 10 yrs and have built up a good relationship with my regular vets.

I've got a similar thing happening at the moment. I've just switched vet's because I was impressed with another vet I was recommended & I went for a second opinion. I transferred all my piggies to the new vet on Tuesday then received a questionnaire from the old vets yesterday asking me to tick boxes. They've been OK but I always felt I could be getting better care for my piggies. We also have a cat & dog registered there & wouldn't think of moving them. I'll probably take the form in with me when our dog goes in for his monthly visit.
