Letting Piggy Out

Hi Guys,

I have a quick question, i am finally slowly getting to know my piggy, i've had her a year and half (tut tut) anyway, long story short, she gets out of her cage about twice a week to run around on the balcony, firstly should i be letting her outside in this such cold weather for her runs? she ususally gets out for 1 or 2 hours... Secondly, how bad is it to let them run around inside?
 
Inside is good so long as there' no danger. e.g. wires, places they can get stuck, etc.

Mine prefer carpet to hard floor because they are precious and it's not as slidy!;)

At the moment, they go in the hallway where I lay my 1m x 4m carpet piece. they won't go anywhere off it so I can leave the door s open and watch them whilst doing something else. Again, this is with things they can play with and tubes, paper bags etc they can hide in and chew!. It means there's a bit of cleaning to do afterwards. grrrr

Hope your balcony has a good rail ... ?/
 
oh gosh, we've a ground floor balony with stone cladding ground and full wall around it, only part she could get near was the drain, and we made a barrier around it so she cant get near it, she has alot of running around on the balcony, its very large. Ye i might try her in our hallway, its very large, so i'd say she might be ok there,,,, the rest of the place is a bit of a wire heaven for her...
 
phew! I had visions of horror in my minds eye with free falling piggies....

if your lettle one is litter trained, it's a good idea to get her a poop corner in the hallway. I don't bother cos the carpet roll is theirs and I can roll it up and store it so there's no drastic stain or mess around the place. It cost me £11.92 in the bargain isle at Carpet Right. Good investment. Recommended! :))
 
very good idea... i'm thinking of buying her one of those play run things... they're just really like a cage but with no bottom or top, do you know them? i am looking on ebay and they seem to have a good enough price about 30 euro with postage, but not sure size wise what would be best.
