Hello! So I have had my piggies for about 11 months now. (the time really flies I can't believe it's been that long already!) Since I've had them, I've been using the same method to give them their lettuce. For green/red leaf, I tear the leafy part off and put it into the measuring cup. For Romaine, I tear off the leafy part from the solid middle and push it down in the measuring cup until it reaches the 3 cup mark. However, I also see a lot of people feeding their piggies the entire stalk including the middle. If I do this, how would I measure how much 3 cups is since I won't be able to push it down in the measuring cup? I feel like I'm doing it wrong because they go through so much lettuce that it can't be right. I will add a picture tomorrow morning if I remember that shows how I measure the lettuce since I feel like I'm not explaining well.

I just give my pigs one lettuce leaf a day, if it’s a large leaf, then I’ll probablh only give them half. I don’t remove the stalk. I don’t tend to measure now, I just do it by eye or hand actually! If their veg fits inside my palm without dropping then I’ve got about the right amount.

oh ok thanks! i feed mine more than a head of lettuce a day with the measuring cup, should i start giving 1 leaf of romaine per guinea pig per day instead?

Mine love the whole romaine leaf.
They usually get one leaf each with their breakfast each day.
