So my piggie is on low calcium diet. As i mentioned before she has stones and cystitis and we are under the care of an exotic vet.
Now some sites say one thing about lettuces and others say something different. I would like a bit of advice. So her main lettuce is romaine and she has little gem and butter head too on rotation. But what about round lettuce, like the one in my picture. We have to increase her water intake so I feel this is good for this.
Thanks
Paula and Oreo

Yes this type of lettuce is fine for them to have (it is fairly low in nutrients though) but as you are giving butterhead then you actually already giving ‘round’ lettuce (making the one in the picture no different to the type she is already eating).
The terms butterhead and round are different words used for the same type of lettuce as the one in your picture ( butterhead/round just refers to the soft leaf vs the crispy leaf of an iceberg variety). There are different varieties within that butterhead/round heading such as Boston or Bibb.

The only type of lettuce they shouldn’t have is iceberg.

Giving cucumber slices are a better way to introduce additional water into the diet (rather than lettuce).

Hello
I’m sure someone will be along to advise you
When my piggy had bladder issues the Vet recommended cucumber for water and dandelion leaves to help pass the water
Does your piggy have filtered water ?
