Every year I grow lettuce and cucumbers for me and my piggies but unfortunately this year the hot sun has cooked all the lettuce apart from red oak leaf lettuce which I have grown for me to eat for the first time this year. My question is can piggies eat it? I've never seen it mentioned in a list of things they can safely eat so any comments would be helpful! 🤔

What lucky piggies you have 🥬🥒

It's not too late to sew more lettuce. A shady spot would be best in the strong sun light we are having. I grow winter lettuce all year round. If I get it in before end of September so it germinates before the cold weather I have some for most of the winter if I pick leaves rather than pull the whole plant. It's much slower growing but handy to have, it's a bit colder where you are but might be worth a try.

Thanks for the info I am going to a garden centre at the weekend so I will et some seeds and give it a try.
