Hi, I'm a bit confused about the sorts of lice that Gpigs can get. I was hoping someone can put me right ...

Apparently there's two types - static lice and running lice? Running lice are considered harmless and are often treated with shampoos or an injection from the vet (is that right?) but not ivermectin? This webpage talks generally about "lice" Guinea Lynx :: Lice - is it about running lice?

And are static lice are more difficult to shift but even they can be cleared up by:

"a good quality ivermectin product like xeno 50/200/450 for the UK depending on the weight. If you use other topical treatments like lice'n'easy shampoo, you will have to wait at least 48 hours between using another product on the skin.

Make sure that you disinfect your cage thoroughly (we recommend to get some F10 antibacterial and antifungal disinfectant for a deep clean); throw away any hay they have likely come in and wash any cosies etc. at least 60 C. There will be some shrinkage, but we strongly recommend to wash your fleece at higher temperatures anyway to prevent a build-up of bacteria anyway.
"

Am I correct in thinking that this disinfectant is antibacterial and antifungal? Disinfectant Products | Safe 4

Am I right in thinking that ivermectin at the correct dose for the piggie's weight kills ALL external parasites including static and running lice?

OK so are hay mites the same as fur mites (chirodiscoides caviae) are actually the same as static lice?

There are 3 types of lice, 2 types of mites (based on my knowledge). Common is hay mites because as the name suggests, its transmitted through hay.
I've had mites treated Xeno and yes pretty much.
I use F10 for cleaning, disinfecting and yes it's anti fungal. also recommend getting a vet to diagnose what the cause is though.
