Just got out one of the boys and found 2 small wounds that had been bleeding and some loss of fur all on his rump. Theres lots of brown speckels that are moving.
Which is it and what is the best treatment.

Sounds like static mites:

GG do lovely lotions for skin conditions, I had the Aloe Vera soothe gel for one of my boars who scratched himself and caused bleeding. Worked a treat (patch test 24 hours prior applying, behind their ear is a good spot)

Again, always seek the advice of a vet unless you are 100% certain of homeopathic treatments.

Thanks I have been looking it up and I will go to the vets and ask them since I have been there a few times I know the vet and he is always happy to answer any questions :)

I would use ivermectin spot on on two occasions 10-14 days apart. *I also echo the advice that if in doubt, you should consult a vet.

Dito ivermectin may be better if the wounds "are" self mutilation, and not bites from another pig,

It would sound like you pig is in a great deal of discomfort and personally l would say possibly a parasite known as Walking Dandruff ( Cheyletiella parasitivorax ) could well be responsible

Also "before" the ivermectin , l would bath in Vetsect Shampoo ( l find it the most beneficial ) to rid the digesting enzymes these little monsters deposit on the skin To dissolve it ready for eating

(not really as bad as it sounds , but very irritating bad enough )
