Lice treatment in the mean time:

Hello! Both my guineas got treated for lice a week ago and they can’t get their next treatment till the 25th of September! Do any of you have some ways to help combat the itching for the mean time!?

What type of lice are they being treated for and what treatment are you using?

Most treatments start to work after a few days, but it can depend on the type of lice and the strength of the treatment so if we have more details we can probabably give more specific advice.

Oh yes! My apologies, my vet just called it typical “running lice”. They used a topical one time treatment, that’s usually used in cats.
