Lice x4 :(

All 4 of my little piggies have lice I was told it would of been from hay at this time of year, so I went into P@H where I buy my Timothy Hay and said about it but they had never heard of Guinea Pigs getting lice from hay before. We have washed them in lice shampoo and put lice gel on their skin. So fingers crossed this will kill them off. :...

A few washes with a medicated small animal shampoo should do the trick if they have static or running lice.

I've never come across lice gel?

Sorry not lice gel I couldn't think of the name haha I used spot on. Lily is still itching like mad and chewing her feet. I know every time we go into P@H to ask a question they have no idea what we are on about, my partner deliberately asks basic questions to the staff who have no clue as to what he's on about. Do you know if the shampoo and spot on works straight away? x

My guineas have Gorgeous guineas Lice and Easy baths and occasionally i use "beapher anti parasite spot on" which i buy from Wilko's as that's the cheapest place i've found to buy it. the beapher Ivermectin is supposed to be effective for about 4 weeks but i'm not sure how fast it all works!

Hi,
My 4 had hay mites last month and 2 baths in the Johnsons medicated shampoo got rid of them. Hopefully it will do the same for yours xx

Thank you iv already noticed some of the lice seem to have gone after a bath with lice shampoo and we have put spot on on all 4 of them. Also washed all there fleece and chucked the hay, just bought some hay blocks from PAH so hopefully they enjoy it (:
