I got 2 piggies yesterday. Not yet 7 weeks and I've notice with the black one at the very ends of her fur are white speckles. Are lice usually at the very ends or is it just her colouring?
I can't post a picture as no idea how on here.

Are they crawling little animals? Sorry, I can't see any. Lice are usually white/yellowish and are moving around on the body. they are big enough that you can see them with a naked eye. Guinea Lynx :: Lice

If in doubt, please see a vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Do not treat on spec, especially not with low dosed broad spectrum shop products that won't do the job.
If they are indeed lice, the shop you got them from should reimburse you if the infection/exposure has happened at the shop when you present the vet bill together with a sales receipt.
We have got a recommended UK vets locator on the top bar.

Your little one is very sweet!

I can't see anything moving. They look like hair roots but on the ends
I've brushed most of it out so I'll keep an eye on it see if any more appear.
Thank you for the advice!

Skin scales can mean either dry skin, mange mites or fungal. In the case, you look for blad patches and/or itchiness to develop. With the recent drop in temperatures, the onset of the heating season can cause a reaction to the drier air. If you notice any bald patches developing, please see a vet.

First of all I would like to say that that is an ADORABLE piggy! I have got one who is a couple of weeks older and they are SO sweet. Judging from your photo I would say mange mites (do a bit of research), but that is the best guess that I can make judging on the picture! If your piggy is losing hair than I would say that it is definitely mange mites. Good luck!
