We got a new pig and he must have had lice. Now all 3 have them. I am in the US. I contacted several vets who are charging $100 per guinea pig just to be seen. Is there anything I can buy to treat them myself?

It's best to get them checked by a vet as there are several types of lice and mites and some need special treatment. Once the vet has checked them and you know what they need you might be able to buy the treatment on line.
 
I’d fork out the money and get them to a vet. Our two piggies had lice and I took them to the vets for treatment. It was one dose but it did the trick. Though it wasn’t that expensive altogether for treatment and assessment (roughly £70 for both). Is the vet piggy savvy?
