gosh it all happens at once with my piggies! ::) :'( well one of the new babies that we just got have got lice i've discovered now :( does nobody check their piggies!? :( anyway bless her i wondered why she jumped every time you touch her. i'll have to treat them both. they're only 8 weeks so i don't think i can use GG on them :( i'll have to see a vet on monday :(

Is there not GG products for under 12 weeks? Maybe I'm wrong.

Hope she is ok :)

There is a mini pig shampoo but it's just a general one, not specificly for lice. I've e-mailed Chrissie anyway, just in case O0
Thanks :)

you're not having much luck today are you? :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:hoping you can fix your little girl up and hoping they were not where the other GP's were. sending you hugs and cuddles and prayers for your girls. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :-* :-* :-* have you had time to name your new girls yet? :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

well its all go at your house isnt it Izzy hope the newbies get rid of their lice soon

hi
yes it jolly well is :( ::) i'm completely done in! Anyway, Chrissie e-mailed back to say lice and easy is ok to use on mini pigs so i shall be ordering some of that ;) well she's flinching a lot in the cage, but otherwise they both seem fine. as bright as buttons, lively noisy and nosy! ;D very cute too :smitten: i haven't got names yet, have been thinking, but i want to really see what their temprements like.from first impressions mad me thinks! ;D ::) I shall try and get pics soon but it might not be until this little girlie has got better because she won't stay still bless her :'( :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: i can't beleive people can let their piggies get in this state without even noticing :tickedoff: really glad i've rescued them from their owners and hamster cage now! :tickedoff: even though my heart's still killing cos of mimi i'm so pleased i've given these girlies a good home where they'll be properly looked after :tickedoff: it's not that i'm cross with having babies with lice cos of having to treat them, i'm just cross at the people who let her get like this :tickedoff: it's obvious to me that somethings up :tickedoff: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

poor old Lilly's infested with them, you don't even have to look hard to see them crawling all over her! :'( she keeps running round in circles, squealing, scratching, flinching, jumping and she just seems on edge. :'( she goes mad if you touch her :'(
i'm so cross that they didn't even notice, she's absoloutly riddled! :tickedoff: bless her, getting a bit worried, but the GG stuff should coem soon, just hate seeing her in such a state :'( rosie doesn't seem to be too bad at the moment, although she did scream earlier and flinch, obviously i'll have to treat them both. Lilly's like half the size of rosie, do you think this could be anything to with having lice so bad? :-\

poor lilly, :'( :'( :'( : how could the previous owners not notice? ? ? ? makes me so mad when this happens! :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: and poor little rosie too! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: isn't there something you can do for them while you're waiting for the lice and easy to arrive? ? ? ? maybe lilly is smaller due to genes, younger, or breed? sorry not much help :'( :'( :'( hoping your little babies get some relief soon, perhaps put a bit of wood in their cage so they can scratch on it. sending you all hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send your girls :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: hoping the new new comers were no where near your other piggies! don't want an outbreak of lice :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: and frankly hun, you have been through enough! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

awww thanks mary! :smitten: the lice 'n' easy and microneem came this morning, but you have to do a patch test first for 2 hours, so put that on earlier and will see if there is a reaction, if not we can go ahead with the full treatment O0
poor old Lilly's really suffering, she's scratching, screaming, kicking, walking round in circles, and goes crazy if you touch her :-( Her skin's so red too. And she's got some bald patches coming a bit where she's scratching so much! :'(She's really infested I can't beleive that they didn't notice! :tickedoff: You don't even have to look hard to see them all over :-( I e-mailed chrissie again saying what poor Lilly was like, and she said the description sounds more like mites unless the infestation's really bad. But i didn't think you could see mites? :-\ luckily, Rosie doesn't seem too bad, although i'm sure she must have some. :( Luckily we've been keeping them well away from the others, and to think i was one step away from introducing them to pansy! PHEW! :) thanks for your kind words piggie kisses from my girlies to yours too :-*

I think it might just be the lice irritating her. I remember when I got Milly and she was full of lice :tickedoff: I couldn't wait for the GG stuff to arrive, and kept thinking poor little thing :(

Just done the GG treatment :) poor old Lilly was screaming and flinching every time you touched her :'( anyway i'm hoping this will do the job and will repeat next week O0

really hoping it will be the lice and not lilly that will be screaming and jumping around soon in pain. 666) 666) 666) 2funny 2funny 2funny sending you all hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: how is rosie coping with the treatment? :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: sending you all hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

thanks, rosie didn't particularly like being bathed etc., but she's not in such a bad state so it wasn't hurting her much :)
i'm thinking they could have got them from their cat, because she told us as we were picking the babies up that one night the cat got into the hamster cage and slept with them all night! :o :tickedoff:

so when you bathed rose who got more wet you or her? 2funny 2funny 2funny really hoping it helps lilly though, i am surprised the people's cat didn't try to eat rosie and lilly. i am really hoping they get their poor cat treated poor thing covered in lice. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: some people shouldn't have animals. having animals isn't a right it is a privlidege(sp) and people should realise this! :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: hugs and cuddles and hoping lilly feels better soon. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

ummm i'm going to say.... ME! 2funny 2funny they always climb all over me when they're wet! ;D ::) and then they shake their hair like a doggie and lick my neck! ;D
Yeah i'm hoping it helps Lilly and helps Rosie with the few she has :smitten: :smitten:
i know, i totally agree, people are such idiots really! >:( :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: it is a privellage! :tickedoff: (sp?)

You could always use that GG mini pig shampoo and a nit comb? it may help, you never know, but remember to be gentle with the nit comb :p

hi
thanks, i e-mailed chrissie and she said it was ok to use lice 'n' easy on them if i did it a special way :smitten:
thanks anyway, it seems to have completely soothed rosie and has helped lilly although she still squeals etc. a lot :'(
but she has it real bad ;)

am so glad it is working, imagine how the poor cat feels if it did have lice! like i said before i am hoping they are treating the poor cat! :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: hoping rosie has her bath and not you! and sending hugs and cuddkes that both get relief soon. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

yeah it's really soothed rosie and helped lilly a bit although she still hates being touched, squeals, scratches, shakes and her skins so red. i can't see any moving lice anymore though, so thats great O0 still some eggs >:( i feel for that poor cat if that is where they got them from! :tickedoff: chrissie said it must have been a really bad infestation on lilly, if she's still that bad :'( bless them :smitten: :-*

Hi
just an update :) Lilly's still going through hell with the little pests :tickedoff: she's scratching, biting, shaking and her skin's all red and dry looking :( Rosie's not as bad but still scratching quite a bit :tickedoff: any way we've got more GG to do tomorrow, just hate seeing them like this :tickedoff: I got them out last night for a run and a cuddle and Lilly spent almost the whole time scratching and biting and shaking herself :'( Rosie did a fair bit of scratching too :'( Lilly hates being touched, anyway i hope this lot of GG will do the trick :smitten:

am so sorry poor rosie and lilly are going through this, really hoping they get better soon. feel so sorry for the poor cat if it has lice too. :'( :'( :'( hoping one better lilly will learn to love a cuddle :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: sending you hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-* good luck lilly and rosie. :-* :-* :-*
