Licking piggie!

Just had to share that my piggie sooty has been genuinely licking my arm and chest loads tonight during cuddles and it's the cutest thing ever! I've never known a guinea pig lick before and his little tongue tickles my arm it's so sweet. I imagine that means he trusts me or he wants the salt off of my skin but I like to think the first one ;-) anyone else's piggies lick? Xx

It is sweet when they do it, I don't have a licker at the moment Lentil was my last licker but he died a year ago, so you're very lucky

y Ruby generally licks all the time, more so if she needs a wee. The others are much more nibbly but do lick on occasion.

I met someones pig on here and she just licked my hand loads, I've never had a licky pig, they sometimes have a taste, I think either Africa or Leo used to give me a kiss every now and again but the teeth catch so they're called goofy kisses

I think at least one of my boys is going to be a licker! They're still quite nervous of me (getting bolder and braver every day though!) but when I first met them I fed one a lettuce leaf and he kept licking me well after it had gone! (clearly an attempt to make me fall in love with them! ) I've had this happen once since they've been with me - I think a definite sign they're settling in!

My Rusty babe used to be a licker but ever since her surgery she had a few months back shes now a little nibbler! She never draws blood, she just gently puts her teeth around my finger and just leaves them there and then gives little nibbles from time to time. The odd time she'll give a kiss but its mostly nibbles. All my other girlies are nibblers.
