licks and purs!

Ok so Dandylion has started purring when I stroke her. Acorah doesn't do this so I think Dandylion likes being stroked more than acorah who likes running around and having her freedom. Also today Dandylion first started licking me today. Something Acorah does as a sign of affection :)

My piggies lick me too,its for the salt we have lol.

they do it for both salt and affection, our preggers ones didn't used to do it until they trusted us, no they trust us, they lick us :D So sweet

Does anybody here kiss their piggies on their heads of their cheeks? or even on piggie lips? :smitten:
I kiss ours on the head or the cheek!
 
lol theres 1 of our guinea pigs that makes me laugh when i kiss her, treacle, i give her a kiss and she like jumps abit and blinks her eyes and looks at me, lmao, its so strange :p haha awwwh
 
hehe when I kiss acorah on the head, I'm drawing back and she like shoots her nose up and gets another :P
 
she does. And when she really wants lifting up she puts her front paws on my ankles and sometimes her back ones on my foot and stays still while I lift my foot up to my bed. Kinda like a piggy lift :) She likes that better than being caught.

our piggies come upto the bars of hutchs to say hello heehee
and they stay still and let us pick them up :D
 
mine rarely let me pick them up. Even Acorah. She plays tag a lot. She isn't too fond of being picked up by hand, but she loves her piggy lift. They like the usses and the freedom it's the transition they don't like :P

I've only had dandylion 2 days so I don't know all her habbits yet.

I love piggy kisses (licks) but baby Rosie is so far the only one to give them :smitten:
 
aww. Acorahs mums always kissed as have her brothers and herself. Now dandylion kisses and so does patch. Apparently pepper does too but all I've got is a bite on my neck from her :P
 
yeah. Well my sister picked up Taz and Kara from the farm she worked on. So she knew them all their lives and the piggies were used to people, especially children and they passed on the licking to their offspring. who seem to have passed it on to the new ones.
 
My guineas aren't really into the whole giving kisses. I give them kisses and they don't seem to mind but never give them back. They very really lick me either, however, they quite like being held and stroked. It might just be that they are snobs because they get everything they deserve. ;D
 
my piggies are spoilt. It may just be because they don't like it. You know a bit like some people don't like giving hugs and kisses?
 
Reggie will start to lick but then it turns into testing bites to see if we are food hehe

Reggie does come to the front of the cage to great us but Ramone is the shy one and tends to stay back, only comes forward when there is food around.
 
My piggies lick me and I give them kisses on their faces, cheeks and lips - they love it when I rub them under their chins too :smitten:
 
its def a salt thing I'm sad to say, but its nice to pretend its kisses... :smitten:
 
Roo pig knows the word kiss and stands up and lifts his head up to kiss me!

Some of my others lick too which I do think is a salt thing but its nice to think of it as them loving us back!

Acorah doesn't mind being stroked under her chin but it's not something she stays still long enough for me to do. Dandy so far hasn't let me do it. She's getting more confident though. I think shortly I will have two confident independant piggies.
 
I am so not brave enough to let my pigs lick me, i always worry it will turn into a bite, bit of a coward on the quiet
 
awwww Squeaky always licks me and if i kiss her she licks my nose ;) Makes me feel so wanted :) :smitten:
 
my sister says: some licks are just for the salt but others are kisses. Like when you've just come out of the shower and they still lick you even though there is no salt. And other suchwhat :P

My sisters rabbit licked me and that turned into a bite. I don't know how bad piggies bites are but after that I don't blame anyone from cowarding away from it.
