Light brown poops

One of my guinea pigs is having light brown poops mixed in with the regular darker ones, same consistency as the others. No changes in diet. What can cause this?

One of my pigs has been acting ever so slightly off but still eating, drinking, moving and pooping as normal so I was just going down the keeping an eye on it route until today, now hoping to get him seen by a vet but can’t get in until mid next week. I can only assume they’d be his poops. Hoping it doesn’t need to be sooner!

Any info or advice would be much appreciated

Welcome to the forum

I’ve linked in our guide which explains what different poops mean.

I would recommend you switch from the routine weekly weight checks and instead weigh daily (each morning) so you can monitor hay intake and step in with syringe feeding accordingly.

I’ve also added in our weight, syringe feeding and emergency guides just in case
