Our lovely lily passed away at 12 midnight new year went to emergency vet who tried to save her with multiple injections but it was too late 2 hours after trying to syringe feed her she passed away from a uri keep a close eye on your piggies they hide illness so well . It was to late for lily and it is so sad she was only 18 month old her two buddies daisy and maisy wonder were she has gone lily has gone to piggy heaven was so lovely we will miss her terrible x

Oh poor Lily, I'm so sorry. Hope you and her friends are ok.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Thank you for reminding us that piggies hide their illness well. As a new owner, I have not experienced illness and it is easy to overlook something you haven't experienced. I will endeavour to remain vigilant. My condolances again. Although her life was short, I am sure Lily's life with you was a happy one.

Yes I now she was a happy pig thank you for you kind words . The advice given to me was as soon as eating patterns change it's of to the vet guineas need to eat little and often other wise there digestion can shut down After 12 hrs not eating . So find yourself a good vet now while yours are young and just keep an eye on there habits all the best to your new venture with wonderfull guinea pigs

I am very sorry for your loss, especially at this particular time! URI can be extremely virulent in some cases and kill very quickly despite prompt and good care. Any loss of appetite needs to be investigated quickly indeed!

RIP Lily

I'm really sorry for your loss. Those moments when they just flop themselves on your chest to have a sleepy is just too precious.

Keep a close eye on the other girls and how they deal with the loss of their friend...I've been weighing my boys just to be safe and got Muffin a new baby piggy (Squeak) to keep him occupied.

You are in my thoughts xx
