She has been wheezing and sneezing since saturday and no emergency vet here where I live but i got her into her vet Monday morning and she is taking Orbax for 10 days.
Hi! I have never yet heard of Orbax being used in guinea pigs before, but the active ingredient sounds like it may be related to baytril, which is the only officially licensed antibiotic for guinea pigs although a wider range can be safely used.
Please give a pinch of probiotics 1 hour before you give the antibiotic (US recommendation); you should be able to get them from a chain pet shop. They help bolster the 'good' gut bacteria that are vital for the digestion of food. Baytril is known for being quite harsh on the guts and can cause soft poos or partial/full loss of appetite. If you notice the latter, please start topping up with syringe feeding. You can find tips on what you can do with what you have at home or fairly easily available. Please contact your vets promptly if there is any sudden deterioration. Complete Syringe Feeding Guide
