Hi all,
Just thought I’d post this and ask for your experience with chirping.
I’ve caught my little Lily chirping 3 times (!) in the last 7/8 days. Twice at night when the lights were out and all was quiet, the first time I nearly had a heart attack and broke my neck as I stumbled downstairs to their cage, sleepy and disoriented, to see what’s wrong. The third time happened just now, afterwards she snuggled up in her snuggle cup and started cooing, which seems to be her “comfy” sound.
I’ve noticed that along with the chirping she’s been extra talkative - in the mornings, when I get home from work, the cooing, she also talks/rumbles in her sleep and so on.
What’s your experience like with chirpers? I’ve heard so many theories on why they do it, my favourite one being that they’re communicating with the mother ship
