time to begin the waiting game :| I'm so impatient

Oh my goodness, 12 weeks old and pregnant, poor little girl. She's a beauty, hope everything goes smoothly for her.

I'd think perhaps 2-3 weeks to go, provided her age is right.

Here are pictures from my own pregnant shop girl, Minx, another aby of a similar age to Lily. She gave birth to two healthy pups just below 70g. The pictures are from the last three weeks of her pregnancy when I was pretty sure she WAS pregnant! I wish I'd known the forum then!

i worked out her age from whatthe worker said.. and minx's belly does look similair to lilys in that picture.. 2-3 weeks to wait then aproximately

and yeah i only use the petshop because its usually fantastic =/

Good luck with LIly.

I hope everything goes well for the pretty girl!

My guinea pig was the same age and she has done very well bringing her babies up and iam sure Lilly will be aswell good luck to her when the time comes

thankyou everyone (: I'm pretty scared that I'm not going to do a good job looking after her @) but every mother has their worries right? rolleyes

ill keep you all updated (:

Crikey!
Just wondered if you know Lillys weight btw?
Good on you for rescuing her;)
Issyx

no my scales bateries have ran out and by the time id got everything sorted it was to late to go get some@).. so tomrow I'm going to get the bateries for the weigh in

(:

She is gorgeous and I am sure she will do well. You can usually feel the babies kicking from around 5-6 weeks of pregnancy so she could be just that far along but it depends on the size of her bubs.

Keep us updated x

i just feel so srry for her her eyes just look really sad ):

but i gave her a tiny bit of carrot last night and it was gone this morning so shes eating (:

Best of luck! I'm sure that she'll settle in; by the sound of it, you still have a little time to go - hopefully, enough for her to get comfy in her new home!

ive been talking to her and stroking her in the cage and shes not been running away...is it ok to handle her? because i need to weigh her tonight

I would handle her - medical concerns (and her pregnancy is one) always outrank social ones. I'm sure that your will be gentle, but firm. Talk to her gently the whole time. A predator making noises is not out to hunt.

ok thankyou.. because i got her out yesterday for a general check over.. but i wasnt sure whether i should be or not

she's pooing so thats a good sign (:

just an update..

shes not hiding when i go into the shed shes staying at the front near the food bowl :)) typical piggy

and shes also letting me stroke her without running away straight away.. and she polished her dinner off and is drinking (: so i think she's settling in

its amazing to feel the babies kicking your hands

she came out to me this morning when i walked into the shed x) she really is an angel

Sounds like you're developing a lovely bond with her already. x

:) I'm getting there.. shes still not keen on being touched though but can you blame her.. shes only a baby though
