today I was watching my oldest guinea pig in floortime and I noticed she had a limp. She could still walk and run, but she would hold up her leg. she could also put it down but only when she was standing still. I don't think It was hurting her because she wasn't squeaking but it still a bit worried. I tried to check, but she wouldn't let me and I didn't want to hurt her. I have never hade a guinea pig do this so I wanted some advice.
Thanks

If she is still limping later today, you need to get her to a vet to get it checked out. If you can’t pin point any injury such as a fall it is unlikely to be broken - Could be a sprain etc....
please get her send if no improvement during day e.g she still limping

Yes please call the vet- any piggy in pain and limping should be seen as an emergency, even if the vet cannot see her in person they should prescribe some anti inflammatory pain relief (metacam/loxicom). Hope she is ok, but a limp could be anything from a torn nail to a sprain to a broken leg, so please check with the vet!

I agree with what has been posted above. Just because she is not crying does not mean she is not in pain. If she had no pain she would not be limping. Hopefully it is something that can be easily treated.
