Hi Ladies and Gents and how are you on this sunny morning?

I would like some advice for my piggie Mr Black. Yesterday he was his normal self - walking, trotting and pop corning around his room, but today he is limping quite badly and is very moody (chattering even when presented with cucumber!). I picked him up to examine him. I held him against my chest with back to me. I touched his right leg and it was fine - normal reflex. When I touched his left leg it was like I had not touched it and only moved a fraction compared to the other.

I don't think it is scurvy as he has vegetables high in vitamin C, e.g. broccoli, spinach, etc and does not seem to have any of the other typical symptoms.

I have read that they can hurt themselves quite easily but this is he is acting out of character and unsure what to do.

Could be be paralysis?

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

P.S. He is a black smoothed haired piggie, 3lbs 2oz and 3 years 8 months old.

I would have him seen by a vet as soon as you can (as your boy is in pain); he can have dislocated a joint or badly pulled a tendon or muscle.

Hi. it sounds like he has injured his leg in some way and his 'moodiness' and teeth chattering are signs it is causing him pain. you should take him to a vet so it can be properly assessed.
