Tonks is my biggest girl and my best eater. she will eat anything I offer her any time. Even if she has just stuffed herself. Last night I set a ziplock bag of connectors next to their cage and this morning when I picked it up they all fell out from the huge whole Tonks had eaten in the bag. Now I am freaking out she will get and obstruction. These pigs are costing me my mind and heart health!

Keep and eye on her for the next day or so, but it is not likely to cause her any problems. I have had a few plastic and wallpaper addicts over the years that were bound to find anything edible and supposedly inedible before me.

Just keep anything plasticky well out of her reach and rather let her have brown paper bags (with handles cut through) or brown cardboard boxes, toilet or kitchen rolls to destruct and have fun with. ;)

If it helps I went round with the big bag of hay this morning and first Dulcie chewed it in one cage and then I had Little Rose and Amy attached to it in the next one.

Keep an eye on her for a couple of days to make sure she is pooping normally, but I wouldn't panic. One of my kids once left a hay bag too close to the bars and one of my pigs chewed a huge hole in in. It was pretty thick plastic (thicker than a typical plastic bag), but she was fine. Hope this helps a bit!

I am hoping that this is the case, thank you for the reassurance everyone!

Our pig Joe was like that XD If it fit in his mouth it was fair game lol!
Peter Gurney suggests giving some liquid paraffin to help indigestible things pass through, maybe worth a go?

Many a time I have taken a full bin bag into the kitchen after cleaning them all out - and when I walk back into the living room I see a huge trail of poop and hay where they have chewed a big hole in the bag - they all seem to love bin bags (and the dustpan and brush for some reason)
