Litter tray made of metal

I just wanted to check if there is anything negativa using a tray of metall in the cage? It is of Course smooth so nothing sharp.

I have a feeling depending on the type of metal you'll find the piggy wee will start to corrode the surface. Where you thinking of lining it with anything?

Hello,
Mine started to rust pretty quickly because of the constant presence of moisture from pee.
I have big plastic trays for hay/toilet for my boy Finn and Lara who live in separate cages.

Below is my boy Finn's personal hay/toilet tray. There is paper bedding underneath with hay on top. My boy Finn is good about using his bathroom.
