Hi, I keep asking questions ... sorry!

I used to have a rabbit and he had a litter tray in his hutch that he used. I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same with my guinea pigs? They both poo all over the cage which is fine but I wondered if I could encourage them to go in a litter tray and, if so, any advice on how to train them?

Thanks :-)

guinea pigs generally poo everywhere some like rocky will go in 1 or 2 places. If your pig has a favourite toilet spot then maybe if you put some already soiled bedding it may encourage him/her to use the tray. generally gpigs are harder to toilet train :)

Thanks ... I wasn't sure. I'm not bothered about training them but thought I'd ask ... if it's better for them to have one place to poo then I'd have encouraged that but I'm happy to leave it :-)

its up to the pig :) it can be done and its a damn sight easier to clean them out but if they are a messy pig and poo everywhere then it wont make a difference non of ours are litter trained. the rabbits are though

I use a cat litter tray in one end of the cage where the hay and food is, they seem to only wee in there which is great! They poo most places but i have noticed it seems to be mainly up the end where the tray is.

Mine seem to wee mostly in the litter tray so saves the big fleece.I cover them as they like to do it cover.It.is worth it for me cos mine are in big c&c cages.I have small bits of towel and. fleece that get changed every day.A.litter tray that you put hay in under the water bottle and under the.hay rack coulf work.Thats where mine are
